This site is run by residents of Hawthorn Close, Hitchin. It is not affiliated with North Herts Council or any company.
What we collect. If you sign the petition we store your name, email address, and (if you give them) your house, street, postcode and comment. If you sign up for updates we store your email and, optionally, your name and street.
Why. Your email stops duplicate signatures and lets us send you news about the mast. Your name and address may be presented to North Herts Council and the mobile operator as part of the petition, because a petition from identifiable local residents carries weight. If you untick “show my name”, your name and postcode area won’t appear in the public list on this site.
What we never do. We don’t sell or share your details with anyone else, and we don’t use them for anything other than this campaign. Emails are only about the mast.
Removal. Email contact@hawthornclose.com and we’ll delete your details within a few days.
Technical. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Form submissions are stored in a private database; we keep a short-lived hashed record of the connecting network address purely to limit spam. We set no tracking cookies.
